Before moving to Atlanta in 1980, I lived in Coral Gables, Florida. It was a great place to be as a child. In 1975 my mom bought me my first pair of clogs in Coconut Grove. My best friend lived just a roller skate away. Mango and avocado trees filled our back yard, and the beach was just a mile down the road. Wow. It doesn't get much better than that. Or does it?? We also had a soda delivery guy who we called Jerry the Soda Man. Jerry came to our house once a week bringing us Dr. Brown's Cream Soda, Tab, and returnable seltzer bottles along with syrups so we could make our OWN sodas. Such fun! Any time I see old seltzer bottles like these it is a trip down memory lane (available at
Jayson Home and Garden).
